April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. in seventh grade. She began playing guitar and piano lessons, sparking her passion for writing songs. At the age of seven, April began taking guitar and piano classes. It sparked her interest to write songs. The year she turned 14 was when she devoted a great deal of time to writing song ideas and practicing her music. Soon after, April started to go on trips with her dad and write at home in NY or LA. April also added additional themes to the song "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with problems like peer pressure, problems, as well as teenage suicide. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle influencer, as well as being a partner with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia and YSL, has cultivated her own following. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is the reason she's what she is. However, that's not all the facts. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't shy away from the fact that she is disabled however, it doesn't focus on it. What message is it trying to convey? that we are all a part of a multitude and that we are all unique and that we're much beyond our physical bodies. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance is what defines my character. It's not my intention to have an impact on disabilities because I've got many more things to contribute." It doesn't impact my everyday living. I continue to do my normal activities and I've adapted to my disabilities. The same is true for me, and I believe that it is something to be talked about. Lockhart encourages us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. Still she admits she's gone through phases of her body at times not being confident in wearing specific types of clothes showing off her arms. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts images of her outfits to social networks with a sense of pride. It's a journey is the key thing I'm not certain that you ever arrive she says of self-love. It's true for all regardless of level of insecurity. It is important to have people that know and can relate to the way you feel. They will be the ones who ask what you think about?
